3/24/08 Pensacola improves to 6-1 against Columbus. Pensacola RFC hosted Columbusthis past Saturday for their final home game of the season. The Aviators played a solid match against a motivated Columbus team that still had playoff aspirations, but those were smashed by the Aviators as the controlled the whole match despite a few starters and won the match 32-21. The match was controlled by strong play in the pack all day. The Aviators back 3 also played stellar to shutdown Columbus's game plan to use the kicking game to control the match, which quickly turned into their downfall. Congratulations to fullback Craig "Fluffer" Nosewich who received man of the match for his great running and kicking in the open field, which countered the continuous kicking of the Columbus side.
